Vacation (Article X, 1,G) #3
A maximum of 10 days per school year may be carried over to the following school year. The vacation day carryover includes the vacations days under the attendance incentive (Article XII, F). Vacation is not reimbursable except on District approval. DON'T LOSE YOUR VACATION DAYS.
Article XII - General Absence Provisions
Paid leaves
- 2 personal days per year. Advance notice must be provided, use the Personal Day form
- 3 days Bereavement Pay for each death in the immediate family (spouse, parent, son, daughter)
- 3 days, Bereavement Pay for each death in the extended family (sister/brother-in-law, father/mother-in law, grandchildren, grandparents, son/daughter in-law, or any person living within the same household of Unit Member.
- 1 day Bereavement Pay for observance of the death of a close friend.
- 3 days paid leave per year for illness in the immediate family. (spouse, son, daughter, mother, father, brother, sister, or any person livign within the same household)
Sick Leave - Unit members shall be granted sick leave as follows:
- 39 week employees - 10 days per year acumulative to 160 days
- 43+1 or 44 week employees - 11 days per year accumulative to 180 days
- 49 week employees - 12 days per year accumulative to 200 days
Attendance Incentive - Following the completion of six (6) months of service from last date of hire, one day of paid vacation shall be provided to Unit Members according to the following schedule:
Continuous Days -
- First 70 = 1 earned vacation day (cumulative continuous days = 70)
- Next 60 = 1 earned vacation day (cumulative continuous days = 130)
- Next 50 = 1 earned vacation day (cumulative continuous days = 180)
- Next 50 = 1 earned vacation day (cumulative continuous days = 230)
The 50-day continuity standard will be used until attendance is disrupted. This continuity would be lost due to sick leave, personal days, family illness, or deduct absence. Any discontinuity would start the continous day target all over again toward seventy (70) continuous days. Any absence due to paid vacations and holiday, death in the family or of a close friend, or jury duty shall not be counted as disrupting the time in computing such period of continuous work.)
