Run for Delegate

You can become a delegate to your party's national convention. Being a delegate is an important part of making your voice heard and being engaged in the presidential election process.

The AFT encourages members to run for delegate in support of presidential candidates. Here is some information on what that process is and how it works.

Note: Each state has a different delegate selection process. Although information will be updated on this site periodically, you are encouraged to contact your state party for information on your state’s process for running for delegate.
