The 2011-2012 Cheryl Anderson Award recipients were notified during the early summer months.  Thanks to the committee for all of their hard work in their final selections.  The ATA is proud to announce that this year, an additional award was added, for AP Physics.  The other two are for AP Biology and AP Chemistry.  This year's recipients are Dominic Facciponte for AP Biology, Claire Gollegly for AP Physics and Katrina Springer for AP Chemistry.  The annual award is presented in memory of Cheryl Anderson, a loved and dedicated science teacher who taught various science courses over many years, both at CBA as well as other schools. The Academy Teachers' Association decided to create the awards, which cover the expenses associated with each of the AP courses, including books, exam fee as well as any other costs, shortly after Cheryl passed away due to cancer.  Cheryl had a profound impact on the CBA community, especially her students.  These awards will ensure that she continues to help CBA science students.
