There are just a few weeks left to file recall petitions against the Republican state senators who pushed through Governor Walker's outrageous attacks on workers.
Organizers have already filed petitions for two senators, and are well on their way to forcing recall elections for the remaining six, but these last few weekends are going to be crucial.
With the continuing controversy around the fishy vote totals in the Supreme Court election, voters are fired up. But we need to get out there and get their signatures to make sure the Republican senators pay a political price for their attacks on middle class Wisconsin families.
There are shifts in your area this weekend—can you help out?
The battle in Wisconsin has become a symbol of the national attack on the American Dream. And with Wisconsin's own Paul Ryan proposing a radical budget that would eliminate Medicare, it's critical for Wisconsin voters to show that they won't stand for this disastrous vision of America.
Wisconsin voters are energized, but we have to convert that energy into petition signatures and recalls—to crystallize the lesson for politicians who attack workers.
With only two weeks left to capture that energy, we need a big turnout this weekend. Collecting petition signatures is fun, and easy, but like any true grassroots effort, it needs lots of volunteers to succeed. Can you sign up for a volunteer shift this weekend?
